Creative kitchen design ideas for Spring 2020

Spring is one of the best times to inject a dose of new life into your home, especially into the most communal room in the house – your kitchen.

If you’re looking for bespoke home design, or want to purchase bespoke home furniture, a kitchen refresh could be just the ticket ahead of the new season.

Stuck for inspiration? We have a few trends which might help…

The return of the marble

Yes, you haven’t seen the last of it – Marble is back and, this time, it’s bright and fresh. Think lighter tones of creams, whites and golds. If you prefer a more subtle look, try and pepper it in lightly through panels, as opposed to taking over the entirety of the surface.

Dark and stormy

On the opposite end of the spectrum is a trend we’re seeing more and more of as cabinet makers, and that is the deeper, darker tones in the kitchen.

Notoriously a room where the light floods in, darker kitchens look very modern and on-trend – but again, if you don’t want to go overboard, you can incorporate the style into just a few cabinets, cupboards, or even just via the walls and accessories.

Double islands

Many are opting for larger, wider, and more open-plan kitchen spaces, and with this comes the potential for a double island.

If you have a big family or spend loads of time in the kitchen on a day-to-day basis, a double island can offer much more versatility for space, especially when hosting.
